New Year's Eve Dinner and New Year's Day

Dinner went well. Since Sara had never had real eggplant parmigiana, I decided it was time. I made everything, including my own fresh breadcrumbs, except the sauce. That I left to Fairway. It came out very good, except maybe a bit greasy. Nice meal none the less. We had our New Year's kiss early because Sara had to be at work at 4am. I took the train to Massapequa so I would be able to pick up Emily at 9am. We spent the morning with my parents and then went to the Farina's for the day. We had a great time, as we always do, with the entire family. We feel like we are a part of it.

New Year's Eve Day Lunch!

So, Sara called me from work and said she wanted to make sushi for lunch. She bought a piece of salmon and a piece of tuna. After cutting up cucumber into slivers, Sara made the first roll. Shortly afterwards, she showed me how to do it too. It was fun and tasted delicious. Dinner is all me. Being a sheltered midwestern girl, Sara has never had real Eggplant Parmigana. It's about time for that to be fixed.

Blog #1

Welcome! Sara reads blogs all of the time and I don't (except for Rob and Jenna's friend Alex's food blog). We set up our wedding website but I thought it would be fun to write about what's going on in our lives, besides just the wedding. Sara and I will both write but I think you will be able to figure out which of us it is at the time (besides signing off with a name).
